Meet my best friend, Marla!
You may be wondering why I’m taking the time to introduce you to my best friend. While it may be interesting, it’s so much more than that!
In my many years of working with people to heal their bodies, I’ve seen over and over again that when we’re subconsciously holding “Outdated Survival Programing” that has a negative message like I am not good enough, I am unlovable, or there is something wrong with me, it is really difficult (if not impossible) to create lasting vibrant health.
Many of us do not even realize we have this subconscious programming. A great place to start is looking at how we feel about our bodies. If you think you’re “too fat,” if you don’t like your butt, or you think your chest is too big, then I can guarantee that you have some Outdated Survival Programming affecting you.
Which is why I’m introducing you to Marla! When it comes to shifting those body-centered negative stories, there is no one better than her.
Marla is an amazing coach and speaker. She’s created a program called “Love Your Body Love Yourself” where she’s helped thousands of women heal their relationship with food and their bodies.
Yet it took years for Marla to heal her own relationship with her body and to have freedom with food.
In fact, when we first met, Marla wouldn’t allow herself to eat chocolate…or pretty much anything that was nourishing!
She was convinced that there was something wrong with her because she constantly wanted to eat…but in reality, she wasn’t eating enough and her body was simply telling her it was hungry.
In today’s video, Marla shares her personal story and why she struggled around food (so relatable!) She also shares some great tips around how to create a partnership with our bodies. Take a few minutes to watch below:
